“Do you provide services for individuals who have relapsed?”
Yes we do provide services for individuals who have relapsed, even while they are in treatment. We recognize recovery is a process and we will work with the individual to determine how best to assist with their goal of recovery. In addition Dr. Tsuang may assist with an outpatient detox or suboxone treatment.
“How long before I start to see results?”
Achieving sobriety is a process that requires time to see positive changes. We recommend that people stay in our program for 6 months in order to see the best results. An individual will see considerable changes start to happen after 90 days of sobriety.
“One of my loved ones is an addict and alcoholic, how can I help them seek help?”
The best thing to do is to get help for yourself first. Part of the reason that we have the codependency program is that often individuals with addiction do not make their own decision to change until the loved ones around them start making positive changes. Starting with yourself is a catalyst for positive change, since your positive changes will say to addiction that things are not business as usual and then encourage your loved one to change.
“Are there any services or informational material for people with family members or loved ones participating in your treatment?”
Our codependency program is our family program for family members of chemically dependent as well as a stand alone program for those who do not have someone in our chemically dependent program.
